Reeves Williams/Buyer Beware September 03, 2007 6:51 PM
Reeves Williams has lost its reputation that it once has, the mid-south's largest builder is now more interested in Quantity rather than
Quality. Which is evident in my new home, one must see it to believe it, I'm going to have to hire an outside contractor and spend an additional 6,000 dollars to correct their sloppy repair work.

To illustrate what I mean just go to one of their 18 different sub-divisions and look at the second rate lumber(salvage) lumber that is used to construct and frame each and every home, all the framing 2x4 studs are made up of 3-4 different pieces of lumber, with missing, jagged irregular spines. The lumber that is used to frame these homes can not be bought at Home Depot or Lowes.

I've noticed homes that have had bowed/crooked studs in the frames and rafters, seen some rotten wood in the framing, and wood covered in mold, my new home that is one year old has walls that bow out and ceilings that show the outline of rafters, also my walls are uneven and not square.I've had a history of hot water in my toilet, no hot water period, sewage leaks, window leaks, driveways that are not the required 4" thickness, I also have visible drywall butt joints visible, and my house has failed 2 inspections, and you have got to see how Reeves Williams Warranty staff has ruined my walls after a poor attempt at Warranty repair, also BEWARE OF 2/10 HOME BUYERS WARRANTY IT'S NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT'S WRITTEN ON, MY ADVICE TO YOU IS TO KEEP LOOKING AND REFUSE TO SIGN ANY CONTRACT THAT HAS 2/10 HOME BUYERS WARRANTY COVERAGE.
