Apr. 29--The homebuilder for three University-area communities, under pressure to cut back in a slowing economy, is being replaced because it has not met its contract terms, the neighborhoods' developer said Monday. Crosland is looking for a new builder for the Stafford, Caldwell Commons and Berkshire neighborhoods, replacing D.R. Horton, one of the nation's largest homebuilders. D.R. Horton will finish construction on its current inventory, a fraction of the homes, over the next six months to a year, Crosland spokesman Bill Norton said.
